John Povey is a highly experienced aid manager, having been involved in donor funded programmes for over 25 years.

Having started his career in 1968 as a shipping clerk, John has developed his knowledge of the aid process and procedures, by gaining first hand operation knowledge of a range of positions all the way through aid organisations, he has been rewarded for this hard work, by finally becoming a Company Director at CKP in 1997 where he is now responsible for the section undertaking the management of donor funded procurement programmes worldwide.

He has managed a great many procurement programmes on behalf of the EU in Eastern Europe and for the UK Government Department for International Development (DFID), the World Bank and the EBRD. Projects have included the procurement of goods, works and services.

As the lead Backstopping Director John has been responsible for the CKP/Italtrend BiH Police project since 2002.
